I booked some puppy training sessions with Anji for my 4 month old mini golden doodle, and I have nothing but praise and good things to share!! My pup was very responsive to the training, and he’s very well behaved at just 6 months. Anji was amazing with him.. and he picked up what she taught almost immediately. The training plan she put together was a great resource for after training and we’ve continued to learn more commands and tricks with her positive reinforcement methods. I plan to book some more lessons for harder tricks.. 100% recommend her service.Thank you Anji!!
We couldn’t be happier with the experience we had with Anji! She was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and truly cared about understanding our five-month-old Aussie Elkhound’s personality and specific needs. Over the past month and a half, our puppy has made incredible progress. The puppy training class was well-organized and easy to follow, and Anji provided plenty of practical tips to keep up the training at home. Our puppy has learned practical commands, listens well, and is gaining confidence every day. I highly recommend Anji to anyone looking for a professional, reliable, and effective dog trainer. I had the pleasure of having Anji help me train my puppy, Luna, and I started seeing her improving from day ONE! 😄 Anji is fantastic with dogs—kind, approachable, and very understanding. I love that she creates a well-organized training plan tailored to you, and she provides a lot of written and video material so you can fully understand how the training works. Most importantly, she’s always available to answer all your questions, even the potentially annoying ones I tend to ask a lot, haha. I highly recommend her—she’s an amazing trainer!
Contracted Anji for 4 sessions of foundation skills training for my golden retriever Akio. She got on really well with him and he's taken away some important lessons on greeting people and had useful mat training. It was a good experience for the pup and I'm happy to recommend her to other people looking for foundation skills training.
Anji was a great trainer for my very hyper Border Collie. She taught us some interesting training insights and was very patient with my dog. Would definitely recommend.
We recently completed a four week foundation course with Anji and our 4 month old labrador puppy, Argo. Anji is a fantastic trainer, who teaches science-based, force-free training with positive reinforcement only. She provided a four week training plan, and we worked through it every week with great success.She knows exactly how to keep an energetic, excited and distracted puppy on track and focused on the training, while also having fun. She also provided several training resources, useful links and product recommendations. Her passion for dogs is obvious and her instruction was personalized to what we needed. At the end of the training, we felt so much more in control of our interactions with our puppy and confident in how he is going to behave in the future. Just finished a four week foundation course with Anji and our 2 year old rescue, Odie. Anji is a lovely calm and focused young woman who loves dogs and absolutely knows her craft. She teaches positive reinforcement only and our little boy responded well. Anji provided a four week training plan, and we worked through it with great success - she also provided so many resources, links, recommendations. She also left me feeling so much more in control of Odie’s and my interactions. Mat training in particular! Thank you Anji.

We did a lot of advance review research when looking for a dog trainer for our 3month miniature poodle. It was our first family pet so finding the right trainer was very important ti us. Anji's reviews came up consistently as being among the best in the city with very positive outcomes. I am writing this review to confirm that after working with Anji for 4 private in-person 1-hr sessions everything I read was 100% true! Anji is pleasant, professional and a natural leader with dogs. Her passion for them is obvious and her instruction was personalized to what we needed and she shared many great links to resources and training to keep us on track until our next session. Our pup "Jaxon" would get excited every time Anji came over because he enjoyed the training and interaction with her so much. Today our 4 month pup is doing well and we continue to practice the fundamental skills Anji taught us. We plan to eventually book her for follow-up sessions down the road, to add additional skills for our development as leaders and our pup's continued development as our beloved family pet. Working with Anji is starting your dog-journey on the right foot. Best decision you can make - Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved Anji Barton! Her expertise and guidance on positive reinforcement training for reactive dogs was excellent. Her was very clear and encouraging in training us to training our dog = we had been at wits end for seeing any improvement. Anji gave us both hope that things could change and a map to make this change. We would highly recommend Anji.
Anji was very helpful with our new puppy! She came to our home and worked with us on the skills and issues that we wanted to focus on. She provided a tailored training program and lots of resources for us to use when training on our own time. She was very caring and patient with our puppy and was flexible with our schedule. Would definitely recommend!
Anji is the best and my pup gets so excited when she arrives for training:) Anji is patient and gives such detailed resources, I love that I can keep up at home between sessions. My friends have all commented on how improved my puppy is after only 4 sessions. I'm definitely going to purchase more!

Anji is fantastic. Her professionalism, patience, techniques and her pure love of dogs was evident in each visit. She made sure we understood each new technique, but was always available for extra support. After each visit, Anji sent us additional tips, tricks and Google links for our use. Our puppy Summer was a handful at times, but Anji was always in control. She just had a way of calming her down to focus. We will continue to be consistent in using Anji’s techniques as we already see a huge difference in Summer’s behaviour. I highly recommend Anji’s services.

Anji has been amazing. She's truly the best thing that could have happened to me and my puppy. As a first time puppy-owner, I was extremely overwhelmed but Anji was extremely patient. I liked her positive reinforcement techniques, as I am against e-collars. She taught us also in the process to change our attitude and manners and our puppy is a new dog as compared to a month back. She's the best and I like her personal and non-commercial approach.
We loved working with Anji and so did our new pup Harry! She was patient with us as new puppy owners. She helped us through some of our toughest challenges with Harry and now we’re seeing a lot of changes in his behavior and his actions. I’d recommend Anji’s services to any new puppy owner!
We only had four sessions with Anji, and the results were night and day. Initially, our puppy wasn't potty trained and didn't know how to respond to our commands. But, within a month, she was able to stay in her crate, relax, sit, come to us when we called her, as well as loose leash walking! Anji also provided us with various resources outside of training hours and a weekly itinerary to help keep us on track. I highly recommend her service.
Anji was a huge help with training our puppy! she was flexible with hours, and went above and beyond to answer any questions we had. She was patient with my and my dog and showed nothing but kindness and care for all dogs. The best dog trainer in the city!!
