About Me

Anji Barton Toronto Dog Training

My Approach

I’m a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and Certified Trick Dog Instructor (CTDI). I practice and promote a force-free, positive reinforcement training approach. Humane reward-based training is used to encourage desired behaviours and build a relationship of trust and respect between you and your dog. I’m focused on not only training your dog, but teaching you how to best communicate with your dog so they can reach their full potential.

About Me

I’ve been involved with dog rescue for over 15 years and I’m passionate about helping people with challenging dogs. I’ve had a reactive dog myself so I know how disheartening it can be, but I’m here to tell you there is hope. I can guide you with proven methods to manage and/or solve the issues you’re experiencing.

I also love coaching new dog parents and working with puppies because I know that teaching your puppy or young dog foundation skills can prevent the development of behavioural issues and help keep dogs from being punished and/or relinquished.

I want dog parents and their dogs to be calm and happy and to enjoy being in each others’ lives. There’s nothing like the human-dog bond, and investing in positive reinforcement training with your dog fosters a great relationship and a priceless bond.
